Postcards from Sailor - Edition 29

Did you ever have one of those days where no matter how often you consulted your road map you still took five wrong turns and ended up in Alaska instead of New York? It's a first for me, though I'll admit I've seen some lovely scenery along the way. Horrible timing, though, given the family holiday this week, though thankfully I had enough sense to hop on a plane to get home by the fifteenth. Managed to redeem myself with a nice little gift that you can see here, since I didn't feel adventurous enough to try to capture its real-life cousin. Somehow I gather from things I've heard over the years that sharing a plane ride with a polar bear isn't the most enjoyable thing in the world. I'm just thankful the little guy wasn't influenced by the Mesmer effect (will that thing ever wear off??), which you can see is even more obvious in cold weather!

So it's back to rehearsals and enjoying the home life...or is it? You never quite know where I'll end up next week! (Though I'm admittedly disappointed with the lack of Klondike bars in the 'Gateway to the Klondike,' though that would make a hell of a song title...)

Take care and I'll write next week!

(no clever, I'm not getting a polar bear and you couldn't look after it, anyway...I'm not /that/ daring!)
